Making Space for New Possibilities
Today, we had an old lean-to removed from our home.
Over the years, it had served its purpose, but time had taken its toll. It was beginning to rot, becoming unsafe, and the decision was made that it needed to come down.
As I listened to the sounds of timber being dismantled and watched a familiar part of our backyard disappear, I found myself reflecting on how often life works in much the same way.
There is something powerful about letting go of what no longer serves us.
Sometimes it is a habit.
Sometimes it is a fear.
Sometimes it is a way of thinking that once protected us but now keeps us from moving forward.
Holding on to something simply because it has always been there does not make it right for our future.
While change can feel uncomfortable, there is often freedom on the other side of it. When we clear away what has become worn out, unsafe, or no longer useful, we create room for something new.
New opportunities.
New growth.
New perspectives.
New possibilities.
We may not always know what comes next, but we can trust that making space is often the first step toward moving forward with purpose.
Sometimes what looks like an ending is simply the beginning of something better.
Love,
