How many times have we been told that we need to step out of our comfort zone to really experience what life has in store for us?
Comfort zones are exactly the places, things, and people that we feel most comfortable and safe with. People can guess what might be inside your comfort zone, but only YOU really know!
I think if we allow ourselves to stay in our comfort zone, those comforts that make us feel safe… well it could be like a stagnant pond, where the once vibrant fish and plants thrived for years. However, things changed within the environment around them, and the pond became yukky and they no longer thrived but withered away… Had someone come and cleaned the pond they would have survived… so are we looking for someone to clean our pond (the things holding us back) or is it possible for us to take a look inside, and find those things holding us back? Clean the yukky, so to say!
What then?
Back some years ago I would take risks, at times without hesitation… but it hurt me many times whether in relationships or in business… was I too trusting? probably.
The one thing I have learned is to do my own research and not rush into anything, if it feels wrong, then it probably is. There is no time frame to be in a relationship or build a business, and again after many years of doing some self-love (A story for another time) I started to trust my decisions more… slowly allowing myself to take some risks… and boy it felt good to finally know that I could again step out of the comfort zone, my safe place, and know that I could move forward, yet again!
Having and finding those people who support and encourage you, is important here also.
So I ask, what's stopping you? Is it the fear deep inside from decisions once made that had you saying ‘Never Again'
Take a moment to identify those fears… and also allow yourself to dream again. You are amazing and enough, you are the only one holding yourself back from knowing what the future can hold for you.
So take the time needed, but don't stay too long in the yukky… You deserve so much more! and it's ready and waiting for you… right there outside your Comfort Zone.
