So how many of us look at others and think we are nowhere near where others are in their businesses?
Are you still comparing yourself/your success to others? Wondering when will it be your turn to be successful, to be the best at your business, or just to be financially free because of the years you dedicated to building your business?
Business can be hard, real hard…
I remember years ago when I owned my Florist shop… started it from scratch in a town that already had 6 other florists… Most would ask why. However, I knew that if I could offer something different and value to my customers they would forever be loyal to my business. I adapted the thoughts that whatever it took, or however long it would take would be ok because I was doing this to become more financially independent.
The first few years were spent building rapport and putting almost all of the finances back into the business. (know that feeling) and finally, after the 4th year, the business started to make more, and I could now feel a lot more secure… yay 🎉
Had I not had the patience to wait for the tides to turn, it would have been easier to just walk away, as those first few years were hard yakka… 6 days a week working in the business and the only day off spending time cleaning the house and spending some time with my family…
There is a lot bigger story to this, which I may share another time…
This brings me to a quote by Elbert Hubbard: There is no failure except in no longer trying.
Don't stop doing what sets your soul alight, if you are doing what you truly love, the vision will pull you. And, if not, just know that you will get there, just don't stop… and above all else ‘Be Kind to Yourself'
Love & blessings,
Narelle
