I’m Still Learning… And Loving It!

I’ve learnt a lot throughout my life. Some lessons came easily, others were rather painful, and a few left me wondering what on earth I’d got myself into!

But one thing I’ve discovered is that learning doesn’t have to end simply because we’ve reached a certain stage of life.

In fact, I think some of my most interesting learning is happening right now.

I’ve always enjoyed discovering things, although I haven’t always been confident about trying something unfamiliar. There have been times when I’ve looked at new technology and wondered whether I was going to master it… or whether it was going to master me!

And believe me, there are days when the technology appears to be winning.

Learning Can Be Frustrating… And Fun!

Over recent months, I’ve been exploring new ways of creating, writing, sharing and connecting with people.

I’ve learnt more about YouTube, experimented with artificial intelligence, worked on creative projects and discovered new tools that I wouldn’t have imagined using years ago.

Have I made mistakes? Absolutely.

Have I become frustrated? Oh, yes!

Have I laughed at some of the results? More times than I can count.

But I’ve also experienced that wonderful feeling when something finally makes sense. When the thing that seemed impossible yesterday becomes something I can do today.

And I love that feeling.

Learning, Unlearning and Trying Something Different

Something else I’ve come to appreciate is that learning isn’t always about adding more knowledge.

It can also mean letting go of old ideas, questioning the way we’ve always done things, or discovering that there’s another way to approach something.

I don’t believe we need to know everything before we begin.

We can be curious. We can ask questions. We can make mistakes, have a cuppa, and come back with a fresh perspective.

And we can enjoy the process without putting pressure on ourselves to become experts.

Finding Something That Suits Me

One of the things I’ve been enjoying is learning through Victory With Ash.

What appeals to me is being able to explore lessons at my own pace, discover useful skills and think about how I might apply what I’m learning to my everyday life.

I’m not interested in making grand promises about what learning will achieve.

For me, it’s about gaining knowledge, building confidence and being open to new possibilities.

And while I enjoy sharing what I’m discovering, I also believe people should have the opportunity to explore things for themselves and decide whether they’re right for them.

There’s Still So Much I Want to Discover

Writing has taught me that every person has a story. Life has taught me that we never stop having experiences worth learning from.

And technology? Well, technology has taught me that patience is a virtue… one I’m apparently still working on!

I don’t know everything, and I certainly don’t pretend to.

But I’m curious. I’m willing to learn. And I still get a great deal of enjoyment from discovering something new.

I’m still learning… and loving it!
