We Must Let Go of the Life We Have Planned

General

We Must Let Go of the Life We Have Planned to accept the one that is waiting for us.

Life doesn’t always follow our script. And that can be terrifying.

We grow up with dreams, clear visions of where we’ll live, who we’ll become, what success will look like. These plans give us purpose, direction, and control. But sometimes, no matter how carefully we lay the foundation, life pulls us off course. Relationships end. Careers stall. Health falters. The dream changes or dies.

In these moments, we’re left holding pieces of a life we thought we wanted, wondering what went wrong.

But what if nothing went wrong?

What if God is redirecting us to something better, deeper, more aligned with who we’re meant to be?

Letting go of the life we’ve planned doesn’t mean giving up. It means loosening our grip on a version of reality that may no longer serve us. It means honoring the person we’ve become, not just the person we wanted to become.

Acceptance isn’t resignation. It’s courage. It’s trusting that even if we don’t know what’s next, something is waiting for us, something we might not have chosen, but that might be exactly what we need.

So the next time your path veers sharply, don’t panic. Pause. Breathe. Ask: What could this be making room for?

Let go of the blueprint. Embrace the unfolding.

Because life, in all its messy unpredictability, is still happening for you, not to you.

Much love,

Narelle x
